Fox has often been compared to actress, Angelina Jolie by the media dubbing her as an "Angelina clone", "Angelina 2.0" and "Angelina Jr." among others. Fox has been compared to Jolie because they each have a "tattoo collection", and status as a "built in sex-symbol".

Fox said of the comparisons that "I think it’s a lack of creativity on the media’s part. Because I have tattoos and dark hair and I was in an action movie? That’s as far as the similarities extend. I’m not the next anyone." Fox was also said to have been replacing Jolie in the next Lara Croft film, but Fox turned down the role, saying "There have been a lot of films I've had to pass on because I don't want people thinking I'm trying to emulate her."

Fox said of the idea of ever meeting Jolie that, "I haven't had the opportunity to meet her and I try to avoid that because I'm afraid," and "She's a powerful person and I bet she would eat me alive." Fox also continued with and remarked that, "I'm sure she has no idea who I am. But if I were her, I'd be like, 'Who the fuck is this little bullshit brat who was in Transformers that's going to be the next me?' I don't want to meet her. I'd be embarrassed."

Fox has eight known tattoos, including her fiancé's name "Brian" on her lower hip and a picture of Marilyn Monroe's face on her right forearm. Fox also has a crescent moon overlapping a five pointed star on the inner aspect of her lower leg above her right ankle. This tattoo is the only known colored tattoo that Fox has.

Fox said she has a Marilyn Monroe tattoo because "She was one of the first people I saw on television, like, literally moments after I was born. Every time I heard her voice growing up I always would cry. I wouldn't know why when I was younger but had my own theories. I've just always empathized with her." Fox also said of that tattoo: "I know a lot about her but I empathized with her before I knew any of those things so that’s why I was driven to actually ink it on my arm. It was between her and Kurt Cobain and I went with her."

Fox also said on her yin/yang tattoo that "The guy was smoking weed while he tattooed me and he didn't do it correctly. Now it's nothing and I'm gonna get it removed. I was told he was a really amazing tattoo artist but he wasn't on his game that night. He was distracted." However, Fox still has that tattoo as of May 2009. Fox has said of her tattoos that "Every time I get a tattoo, it's a little 'fuck you' to anyone who tells me not to."

In late May, 2009 when Fox was at JFK airport she told paparrazzi that she was planning on getting another tattoo, Fox had said that she was planning on getting a sleeve tattoo on her right arm. It was widely reported that Fox and her mother Darlene, had come to a strong disagreement and sparked argument's over Fox's tattoos in general and Fox's plan to get a sleeve tattoo. Fox's mother Darlene had said that she has never understood why Fox would want to "cover her gorgeous body with tattoos". The National Enquirer reported that after each new tattoo that Fox got that Darlene "pleaded" with Fox not to get anymore. Fox's mother Darlene had felt that when Fox is a "40-year-old woman wanting to play more mature roles, people won’t hire her because it will be too hard to cover her tattoos.” and Darlene also had feared it would and will jeopardise Fox's career.

Controversy

While promoting Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in June 2009, Fox was asked how she would stop Megatron from demolishing the world, Fox replied, "I'd make a deal with him and instead of the entire planet, can you just take out all of the white trash, hillbilly, anti-gay, super bible-beating people in Middle America?" This response was panned by the conservative NewsBusters, writing that "While Fox may be a star on the big screen, her words certainly don’t make her shine." The Naples Daily News was also highly critical of her comments.

The internet has been abuzz since this Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony, where Megan Fox jokingly remarked that she looked like a man. When interviewed on the red carpet, she said “I look like Alan Alda in drag. I’m a tranny. I’m a man.” At the time, reporters passed it off as a jovial attempt to cover for her nerves.

Weekly Word News write that, Megan Fox was born Mitchell Reed Fox in Rockwood, Tennessee. From an early age, Mitchell showed an interest in both performing and women’s clothing. When having a preacher lay hands on him did not ‘cure’ him of these interests, his parents simply put him on the pageant circuit.

By the age of 13, Mitchell had already started a career as a female child performer called ‘Megan Fox’. Making her debut on an Olsen Twins straight-to-video release, the twins have kept his secret all this time. As a sweet 16 present, Fox’s parents offered him sexual reassignment surgery, which, given their child’s career, they’d hoped to write off as a business expense. Unfortunately laws prohibit such surgery to be done to minors. Since then Megan has been working non-stop, and been included on many Hottest Women lists in publications around the world.
